We will be exploring the Phoenix Grafting (Tanuki) style of Bonsai, where small young saplings are grafted to larger deadwood.
Over time (5 years or so) the young saplings will graft onto the deadwood and create the illusion of a significantly older tree.
We will aim to bring with us a selection of deadwood that can be used to graft onto, however you should bring with you a young sapling suitable to be grafted. Of course, you are also welcome to bring along your own piece of deadwood.
